Dragon Quest V - Estark

The superboss of the post-game in some versions of the DQ5. This is NOT a 15 turn kill video. This is just the standard fight that took 48 turns. It is recommended to be at least level 40 for this fight if you only care about defeating the boss in general. Killing Estark in 15 turns or less rewards you with the Catas Trophy knick-knack. You need to be a much higher level if you want to attempt to defeat him in such a short time. I don't care for that and just want to defeat him in general. Defeating Estark in general gives you access to his T'n'T Board that is located in the post-game dungeon. Most of the time when Dragon Quest adds a post-game superboss to a remake, they'll lock an alternate ending for defeating it under a certain number of turns. This is one of the few games to not give you an alternate ending for doing so, so I do not care to get the 15 turn kill. Parry is the key to surviving this fight as Insulatle will help a lot. Parry also has Multiheal and Kazing if you need extra healing or reviving. I tried out Bounce a few times to see how effective that can be and its decent but risky. Not being able to spot heal someone with Fullheal is really dicey. I also should have given the War Drum to Abel instead of Nera. Nera spamming Kafrizzle would be more consistent damage since physical attacks aren't as effective unless Oomph/War Drum is active. Estark is also immune to Sap which makes physical attacks not as good as magic. Also, Estark automatically has Bounce when the fight starts, so use the Zenithian Sword as an item to remove that. Luckily, he doesn't have the Bounce spell itself to reapply it. He does have the Disruptive Wave as all endgame bosses have, so reapply Insulatle and War Drum when that happens. There are probably some monsters that are better suited for this fight, but I don't like using the monster recruiting mechanic. This is the Nintendo DS version of the game.
