This is an extra long video so please see the section times below for the individual parts of the design. Tail section starts at 5 mins 30 seconds Techniques in section - Starting with a false footing, Figure of Eight Braid, adding a bead, finishing at a point and rolling back, working a rolled edge & working a tapered roll. Head and Body section starts at 54 minutes Techniques in section - Starting with a false footing, adding pairs by laying into the work, half stitch with a cloth stitch edge and working Top or Bar sewings. Lower wing using Lattice 1 braid starts at 1 hr 11 minutes Techniques in section - Starting with a false footing, adding passives across the braid, working the Lattice 1 braid, working a blind pin or back stitch and working a rolled edge. Upper wing using raised rib edge and crescent braid starts at 1 hr 55 min Techniques in section - Sewing in pairs to side bars, working the rib edge, adding pairs under the worker, starting, working and finishing the Crescent Braid, sewing in to the rib edge and working a blind pin/back stitch.
