dramatic silence - all the wabi sabi
Album: wabi-sabi I could describe wabi-sabi by its definition, but perhaps it means a little more than just finding beauty in simplicity and imperfection. Some of us feel like we're forced into a world of chaos... a society full of rushing around and working all just to be caught up in a race that goes nowhere. We care so much about how our bodies look, and how our lives look to others. We're constantly judged by the external world as we judge ourselves internally. We keep finding imperfections because we keep looking for them so that we can fix them. We end up wearing masks of duplicity because... well, let's be real, there is no such thing as perfection. In this process, we miss the magic of life. We miss all the beauty and value that dances around everywhere... in between cracks, around wrinkles and gray hair, a stain on your favorite shirt, a scratch on an antique sofa, a mark on the wall... all evidence of life that's been lived. When you start to see the magic in the journey, in creation, in pain, and in death, you find so much more in life to fall in love with. I wish I could put it into better words, but that's all the wabi-sabi.
