This video clip explains how to construct a gridded cube to draw the head in perspective. Foreshortening is simply a visual distortion created by perspective. Once we are able to conceptualize the three dimensional volumetric form of the head using a box, we can easily draw it from any angle and the grid will help us to accurately plot out our features.
