A common question is "will my dreadlocks grow" or "when will my dreadlocks grow".... or "when will my dreadlocks stop shrinking?" All locks shrink to some extent - the length of your locks will be shorter than the length of hair that you started with. This shrinking can take place all at once if you go with a particularly tight backcomb or over the first year if you go natural/neglect, T&R or looser backcomb. This can lead dreadlocks to give the impression that they don't grow and in fact just keep loosing length! I talk about why the shrinking happens, when it happens and when it stops!
