I don't know who needs to hear this but... One year ago today we found out our home was completely engulfed by lava. In the last year we've moved 5 times. We watched our friends pick up and leave, couples break up, businesses fold and the landscape of our community completely transform. Everything that felt solid has shifted dramatically but we're still going. Make no mistake, it's been hard as hell; at times, utterly hopeless. But we're still going. Without getting too corny, what I'm trying to say is that if we can make it through this past year, you can make it through this next year. And you might fall or relapse or fail or cheat or get fired or screw up 100 times but you can get back up 101. And on the other side of it all you can still become the best, strongest version of yourself no matter how old and tired you feel. We're all in this together. We all have a purpose. And on that note, thank you for being there for me in whatever way you've showed up for me and mine in this life.
