Drill Press Table Extension Jig
This video was completed working on another project. Being one handed, I’m pretty good at it but occasionally I lose. I’ve found its MUCH easier to drill holes in metal with a drill press vs. a hand drill. So I built this extension table to hold up a large plate I will ultimately mount wheel castors to for my table saw cart project. The extension table jig ‘cams’ into place locking it from falling off without tools or external clamps. I made it out of scrap and for what I need, it’s perfect. It doesn’t matter if the extension top is not perfectly parallel to the drill press top because as soon as you apply pressure on the drill bit, the top and part you are drilling are pressed flat against the table. It's Approximately 18" wide by 40" long. Thanks for watching! I used music from Bensound.com and purchased the appropriate license for it. This is the music I used: 1.
