Dripping Showerhead Ruining Your Bathroom? Not Anymore
Tired of limescale spots and constant dripping? In this episode, I’m tackling a bathroom annoyance that my wife absolutely hates: water dripping from the shower holder onto the faucet. 🚿🚫 The catch? We’re moving soon, so drilling holes in the tiles is strictly off-limits. I tried a quick fix with double-sided tape, but... let's just say it went "bump" in the night after two months. Today, I’m using the SLICE methodology (Spot, Learn, Imagine, Craft, Execute) to engineer a permanent solution without damaging the wall. We’ll jump into FreeCAD to design a custom adapter that increases the surface area for the tape, ensuring this holder stays put for good! 👇 In this video: 00:00 Intro: The SLICE Methodology 00:23 SPOT: The Limescale Problem 00:52 The Challenge: Zero Drilling Allowed 01:10 LEARN: Why the First Fix Failed 02:08 IMAGINE: The 3D Printed Solution 02:41 CRAFT: Designing in FreeCAD (Tapers & Pegs) 05:40 PrusaSlicer Settings & Material Secrets 🤫 07:15 EXECUTE: Gluing the Assembly 09:55 Preparing the Tape 11:04 Final Result: No More Drips! 🖨️ Print Settings: Material: PETG (Green Transparent... shh, don't tell my wife I didn't use black! 🤫) Infill: 15% Gyroid (for that extra strength) Slicer: PrusaSlicer 🛠️ Tools & Software: FreeCAD PrusaSlicer Strong Double-Sided Tape Super Glue If you enjoyed this practical fix, hit that Like button and Subscribe for more 3D printing solutions! ☕ Keep me awake for the next design: https://buymeacoffee.com/taboretum My Printables page: https://www.printables.com/@Smoluch Happy Printing! #3DPrinting #FunctionalPrint #DIY #HomeImprovement #FreeCAD #PrusaSlicer #LifeHack #BathroomFix #Maker #Taboretum
