In this short video, Philip Marris explains how to manage the production flow with Drum-Buffer-Rope (DBR). This methodology was created by Eli Goldratt and presented in his best-selling book The Goal. This is the scheduling technique when there is a capacity constraint (a bottleneck) in the system.
If there is no bottleneck present then the recommended system is S-DBR or Simplified DBR.
