Minister for Commerce, Trade and Industry, William Duma, says he did not breach the Oil and Gas act when the Petroleum Retention License was given to Horizon, Santos and Elevala Energy for PRL 21.
Minister Duma finally speaking to the media this afternoon (Thursday, February 20), was quick to point out court proceeding and lawyers advise in 2010 to settle court proceeding between Horizon and Petroleum Ministry on the cancellation of PRL 5, which will later be known as PRL 21.
The Minister stating decisions to award PRL’s where done by the Petroleum Advisory Board and that the Minister only acts recommendations of the PAB to award PRL’s.
