In this video we take a look at the difference between setting a constant current limit (CC) and overcurrent protection (OCP). http://www.agilent.com/find/E3632A The OCP circuit is an independent circuit; it is really designed to be used above 500mA. The DUT I used only needed about 20 mA which created some additional problems. A large step in voltage could easily trigger the OCP circuit. I created the demo as I wanted to write an example program to pull the status register. I wrote the example program using Visual Basic for Excel.
