DyeCraft Direct Intro Video
www.dyecraftdirect.com Dyecraft has been in the sublimation industry for over 30 years. The company is owned by a minority woman: Martha Ray. Dyecraft Direct is located at 216 US Highway 206 Unit #7 Hillsborough, NJ 08844 DyeCraft Direct is a one-stop shop for sublimation: including blanks, heat transfer papers, printers, mugpresses, and flat presses. We offer blank substrates such as neoprene, a full line of drinkware from ceramic to aluminum to double-walled tumblers. Flat items include tote bags, pillows, glass cutting boards, keychains, teddy bears, aprons, pet-related blanks, and baby apparel. We are a distributor of UW Solutions, Specialty Material, Beaver Paper, Neenah Paper, BestSub, and iColor products. For heatpresses (and mugpresses) we offer Hotronix, GeoKnight, Stahls, Hix, Insta and JTrans. We also offer transfer papers for light and dark fabrics as well as HTV (heat transfer vinyl) and Graphtec Cutters. Sublimation printing is the process of transferring a dye-sublimation ink on dye-sub paper onto the polymer-coated surface of a blank using a flat heatpress or mugpress. It is as simple and easy as cooking. Transfers can be chromatic photographs or simple graphics in contrast to traditional HTV or screen printing which prefer simple graphics. The feel is imperceptible as the bonding is done within the surface of the object and the durability is excellent as it's bonded at the molecular level. As one employee described it, it is essentially tattooing the surface of an object via heat and pressure. The printer we use and recommend is the SawGrass UHD (Ultra HD) series, the industry's only integrated sublimation system. It boasts excellent color reproduction, print management, a cloud-based designer, and compatibility with Adobe/Corel suites. We recommend buying US-made flat heat presses from our offerings in GeoKnight, Hix, Stahls Hotronix, , or INSTA Graphics. Our sublimation blanks are made to last and are certified BPA-free, lead-free, and child-labor-free. UW Solutions blanks (formerly Unisub) are made in Kentucky; boasting industry-leading color reproduction, durability, and quality. We ship with UPS Monday-Friday with a cutoff of 4:30 PM. Orders ship same-day except for holiday rushes/acts of God where orders ship in the order received. Units of 36 mugs come double-boxed to prevent breakage. All shipments of blanks ship in crush-rated boxes, are sealed with reinforced 3M tape, and secured with foam peanuts and/or bubble wrap. A little about DyeCraft Direct: we have over 33,000 followers on social media; Facebook and offer hundreds of how-to videos on Youtube, Facebook, and Google Search. We offer events up to twice monthly; either open houses or workshops. We do weekly talk shows on Facebook to teach customers how to market the products. Sublimation printing is the process of printing onto a media (transfer paper), heating up the ink until it vaporizes and forcing that vapor with pressure into the surface of an object. A printer loaded with sublimation ink is required and a heatpress is needed for consistent and safe results. The blank object itself needs to be coated to grab the ink molecules or be made of polyester.
