This video walks you through the process of dying bucktail for fly tying using acid dye (Rit brand in this case). I took 6 natural tails and made black and orange and describe the process for making a couple other colors as well. Audio and video quality is not the best since I did it on my iPhone, but hopefully it helps you out in dying bucktail for fly tying!
Materials:
Stainless steel pot
Camp stove/gas burner
Thermometer
Nitrile gloves

Rit dye (or other brand acid dye)
White vinegar
