Dynamic & Stative Verbs || Basic English Grammar This is the seventh lecture based on The Verb parts of speech. In this lecture i tried to explain the topic 'Dynamic & Stative Verbs' in a very simple and easy way so that you may clear your doubts. Dynamic Verb - A 'dynamic verb' is the verb that describes an action rather than a state.means these verbs express physical activities or process. Some dynamic verbs are - Eat, walk, learn, grow, sleep, talk, write, run, read, go etc. Stative Verb - A 'stative verb' is the verb that describes a state or condition rather than an action. 'Stative verbs' are known as state verbs or non - progressive verbs. These verbs can not be used in progressive form. Some stative verbs are - Love, hate, like, doubt, prefer, know, seem, agree, own, understand etc. Some verbs can be either dynamic or stative depending on their meaning and context in the sentence.
