E Plex 2000/3000/5000 - How to Change the Master User Access Code

Learn how to change the master user's access code for E-Plex 2000, 3000 and 5000 electronic pushbutton locks in this short video. 1. In this video we’ll show you how to Change the Master User Access Code for the E-Plex 2000, 3000 and 5000 series locks. For this procedure you must have a User Level of “Master”. 2. First, put the lock into “Pushbutton Programming Mode” by pressing the “#” button, then the Master Code followed by the “#” button again. 3. Enter the command, “0-0-0” followed by the “#” button. 4. Remember, the Master User Access Code must use 8 digits, no more, no less, using numbers between 0 and 9. 5. Enter the new Master User Access Code number. For this example we’ll use “8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1” followed by the “#” button. 6. Now, confirm the Master User Access Code by entering the number again; “8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1” followed by the “#” button. 7. Here is the complete entry of the example: “000#87654321#87654321#”. 8. Press the “#” button again to exit out of Programming Mode. 9. At this point the Master User Access Code has been changed and the procedure is complete. Be certain to write the code down and keep it in a safe place.
