Eagle Talon Shakedown Passes
After making just two passes on our new drag radials, the track closed up for the night leaving me with little seat time and the need to test more variables. I headed back to the track the following night to make some more shakedown passes. My goal was to get a better feel for the radials and the settings they respond to the best. To my surprise, the track was empty! I started with a slightly higher launch that caused me to spin out of the hole hurting the 60' and only neting an 11.5 1/4 ET. I decided to make another pass using the same settings with a slightly more aggressive "burnout" to heat the compound. I rolled around the water as usual and tried to preload the drivetrain before spinning the tires. At 1:25, you can see that I pull through the ebrake and the car is slightly rolling. After the sqeal of the tires, I am locked out of all gears. I can not get the car into any gear. I ended up making my last pass of the season on the back of that tow truck. Stay tuned for a winter tear down and many more projects to come. Happy Boosting
