Ear Training with Spock - 5 part chords: Dom.9, 7#9, 7b9, 9#5, 9b5, Maj9#,5, Maj9b5, m9b5.
This video contains two tests of 10 & 12 questions with chords being played with a Fender Rhodes (MK-80). This test mostly concentrates on chords with different 5ths.
The tests are designed for BOTH beginners and advanced ears at the same time. The chords are played 3 times and then the answer is revealed; answers are given verbally and shown in standard notation with captions. Beginning students: try to figure out the quality of the chord. Advanced students: the roots are doubled down an octave or two so you can follow the chords and name them.
