Early Spring - Varuni Lila

Ethan Prentice | October 21, 2025 This is something very special, it's very rare to get to capture someone's first ever performance as a solo artist, and even rarer to capture the first versions of someone's music. This is Varuni Lila, a veteran of the Naarm music scene, playing with bands like Erica Avenue and performing under her own name with a band, playing some high energy, grungy-punk-like music. This however, is a little more paired down, many of these songs were just written at the time of recording, and a complete shift in style for Varuni. This was her first performance solo, and in some cases the first times these songs were ever performed, and it was an awesome opportunity and a pleasure to be able to be able to capture this particular point in time!
