Easter Egg Run 2026

The much-loved Easter Egg Run returned on Sunday 5 April 2026, bringing a wave of generosity and community spirit to Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. More than 800 bikers took part in the annual tradition, arriving in impressive numbers to deliver Easter treats and brighten the day for patients, visitors, and staff. The sight and sound of the motorbike convoy created a memorable atmosphere, lifting spirits across both hospital sites. The Easter Egg Run continues to highlight the kindness and dedication of the biking community, whose efforts make a meaningful difference each year. Their generosity not only provides gifts but also brings smiles and a sense of connection to those spending Easter in hospital. Rich Jones, Charity Manager for CDDFT, said: “Thank you to each and every biker who took part today. Your generosity and community spirit never fail to amaze us.
