Easy 8 at a time Half Square Triangle Tutorial | The Magic 8 Method

The beloved half square triangle…we all know of it. We see it in so many quilts, and so the idea popped up: how can we make these squares easier to make? And so the popular “Magic 8 Method” made its entrance. This method is a fantastic way to make 8 half-square triangles at a time while creating very little waste and turning it into a huge saver of time. Featured in this video is one of our handmade quilted patchwork skirts from our Patchwork Stories that utilizes this Magic 8 Method to make. It was such an easy project to make, and what better way to personalize your wardrobe with a quilted skirt. There’s nothing cooler than saying “I made it myself” when someone asks, “where did you get that from?” Happy sewing! For this video, we are using ‘Kantha Charcoal’ from “Kismet” by Sharon Holland, ‘Clover Compass’ from “Craftbound” by AGF Studio, our Pure Solids in ‘Toasty Walnut,’ and our Floral Elements in ‘Sand,’ if you want to create these exact versions.
