The process is rather straight forward, especially if you were the one who unlocked it. Requirements For those who may not have unlocked their bootloader, you will need to have some things setup ahead of time. For example, you are required to have a desktop or laptop PC that you can connect your phone to, via the USB cable. You are going to need to have ADB & Fastboot tools installed on your computer as well. There may even be a need for you to install the USB driver from Google if your PC has trouble making the connection successfully. I also need to point out that locking the bootloader will wipe all of the data you have from your device. So be sure that you're backing up your important stuff ahead of time. When you're ready, we're going to reboot the Pixel 9 into Fastboot Mode. I do this by rebooting the phone and then holding the Volume Down until I see this screen here. While the phone is in Fastboot mode like this, let's connect it to the PC with a USB cable. relocking the pixel 9 bootloader When your pixel 9 has the Fastboot mode menu, we can then begin to interact with the phone through Fastboot commands. And the first command I recommend you execute is... fastboot devices If you see the serial number of your phone returned as the result here. . .then you're good to continue with this guide. If you don't see that response here. . .whether it's blank. . .or you see something that says waiting for device. . .then there's going to be some USB related issues. this could be a usb port. or a usb cable or the usb drivers So you'll need to troubleshoot that before you can proceed with this tutorial. But when you're ready, we can actually lock the pixel 9 pro bootloader again by executing the following command. . . You'll get a response like this. . . . . .and then the phone will change to a warning screen like this. We need to use the Volume Up/Down buttons to control which option is highlighted. And then press the Power button to select that option So you want make sure this option is visible. . .and then press the Power button to select it. Your Pixel 9 smartphone will reboot You'll notice it go into a factory data reset screen for a short time And then it will reboot you back to the Android activation screen. conclusion So you'll want to activate Android just like you normally would, and then set all of your stuff up again. Your bootloader will be locked again, and you can confirm this by activating Developer Mode and checking that OEM Unlock toggle within the Developer Options menu.
