Today I wanted to share the easiest macrame wallhanging I could think of, in a slow, step by step video, for absolute beginners. My hope is that someone who has never done macrame, or is having difficulty starting out, can easily accomplish this pattern. In this video you will learn how to attach the cord with the Larks Head Knot, how to make a Square Knot, and then extending those square knots as well to create this V shaped pattern. MEAUREMENT: Height: 15inches/38, not including the hanger. Width: 8inches/20cm. Here is exactly what I used: - 8in/20cm dowel (1/2in thick for those wondering) - 5mm singly ply cotton cord cut to the following lengths: 2 x 42in/107cm 2 x 46in/117cm 2 x 50in/127cm 2 x 54in/137cm 2 x 58in/147cm I also used an 8in/20cm piece of jute twine for the hanger, this part is optional, as you can simply hang this wallhanging on a nail by balancing it on the centre of the dowel.
