This video provides a comprehensive, step by step demonstration of how to install the Monarch Metal Easy Panel System (EPS). The EPS system is a concealed fastener wall panel solution built around the MF375 Z Clip and a full range of aluminum trims, including edge trims, horizontal reveals, vertical reveals, and inside and outside corner profiles. The walkthrough covers planning, layout, panel preparation, and complete installation from the bottom row to the top edge trim. ABOUT THE EASY PANEL SYSTEM The Monarch Metal Easy Panel System is designed to provide a clean, premium architectural look while allowing panels to be installed and removed as needed. The system works with common panel materials including MDF, plywood, and HPL. Typical compatible thicknesses range from 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch, and certain profiles also support 3/8 inch material. Panels that cannot accept mechanical fasteners, such as acrylic, glass, or ACM, can be installed using MFTAPE 2 inch. SYSTEM COMPONENTS Edge trims are used to finish exposed edges and create the perimeter frame of the system. Horizontal and vertical reveals create spacing between panels and support the layout. Inside and outside corner trims provide clean transitions. The system uses MF375 Z Clips for concealed panel engagement, Midwall rails for additional support when needed, and adapter clips to allow different panel thicknesses to work within the system. PRE INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS Before installation begins, the mounting surface should be clean, flat, and free of debris. Any high or low spots should be corrected or marked so they can be addressed during installation. Shims may be used to maintain a level and plumb layout. Installation should take place after HVAC systems are running so panels are not affected by large humidity swings after installation. STEP BY STEP INSTALLATION PREPARE THE MOUNTING SURFACE Ensure the wall is clean and flat. Identify and correct any high or low points. Shim as needed to keep the system plumb and level. INSTALL BOTTOM EDGE TRIMS The installation begins at the base of the wall. Bottom edge trims should be secured into studs and installed level because they support the first row of panels. If the project includes inside or outside corners, install those before the bottom trims. INSTALL INSIDE AND OUTSIDE CORNERS Corner trims establish the starting reference for the system. They must be installed plumb and square. When an edge trim meets a corner trim, the edge trim can be notched or coped for a clean fit. ATTACH Z CLIPS TO THE PANELS Each panel should have at least two rows of MF375 Z Clips. The lower clips support the weight of the panel. The upper clips temporarily support the next horizontal reveal. Clips should be aligned consistently across all panels. INSTALL THE FIRST ROW OF PANELS Set the first row of panels onto the bottom edge trim. If the design requires vertical reveals, insert them into place as the panels are positioned. INSTALL THE FIRST HORIZONTAL REVEAL The horizontal reveal above the first row engages with the upper Z Clips on the panels and supports the next row. This reveal should be fastened into studs behind the system. CONTINUE INSTALLING ROWS Repeat the same process for each row above. Set panels using the Z Clips, insert vertical reveals if required, and install the horizontal reveal above each completed row. Continue until reaching the top of the system. INSTALL THE TOP EDGE TRIM The EPS system typically requires at least 3/8 inch of clearance above the top edge trim so it can slide into place and engage with the Z Clips on the final row of panels. If the installation does not allow for lift off clearance, 3M Dual Lock can be used to secure the top row. CUTTING AND FITTING TRIMS Horizontal reveals should be cut so only the reveal portion is visible and the reveal itself is not cut through. Edge trims may be mitered at 45 degrees when two pieces meet. Edge trims can also be notched or coped when joining them to corner trims for a cleaner result. ADDITIONAL NOTES Midwall rails may be added for taller panels or panels that require extra support. Full length trim pieces typically provide the best appearance and are preferred when layout allows. Splicing is used when lengths exceed available stock. Learn more: https://www.monarchmetal.com/eps
