This is an easy sew tunic top design that I specifically designed for beginner sewers as its mostly sewing straight lines. You will not need a Serger/overlocker for this project as I designed it to have all enclosed seams on the inside. The design features and techniques I cover in this tutorial are: mitred corners, easy sew neckline, side splits, enclosed seams and a sash belt. You will need approximately 1 metre of fabric, depending on size, as well it is a zero-waste design so no fabric will be wasted. I do recommend linen for this tunic as it’s a sustainable fabric and I find it sits more nicely around the neckline due to its drape and hang rather than cotton fabrics. I would love to see your finished creations so please tag me on any social media you upload photos to. If you do have any left over fabric you can make masks with it, follow this link for my simple sew face mask tutorial: https://youtu.be/WCULj2_DvRY You will find a copy of the sizing and measurements specs for the tunic top as a downloadable PDF here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/12MB_VXdrLMUaclhVGlPdyDlkUQ3Wz2W7/view?usp=sharing Please leave any feedback or questions in the comments below Thank you Sophie Check out my social media at: https://www.instagram.com/newformsapparel https://www.facebook.com/newformsapparel Resource Section Fabric - Ikea Aina Dark Blue Approximately 1 metre https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/aina-fabric-dark-blue-40395801/ Tools and thread Navy Thread - Rasant 120 Clear Grid/Pattern making ruler Quick unpick Fabric scissors Zencix Snips Fabric Chalk Pins All available from https://www.lincraft.com.au Or your local sewing supply store Measuring tape – the Drapery https://thedrapery.com.au International shipping Fabric Store https://thefabricstoreonline.com International shipping
