So, I've been researching the history of the Emergency Alert System, and ran across this. Sometime back in the 70s, TM Productions made a jingle out of the Emergency Broadcast System test script, and I think they may have actually used it as a recorded test. Anyways, the FCC caught wind of this and ended up making a rule that said you could not sing the test script or read it as if it were a joke.
The EBS is serious business. :P
