EEP13 Railway Simulation and Lua programming
This is my first youtube video and is an introduction for the control program I've created for EEP using Lua. EEP is a railway simulation program and is on Steam or available from the developers directly (Trend). An earlier version of EEP created the option for users to create their own programs in a language called Lua. Thus you can create a program to control signals or other aspects of the layout you've created in EEP. This video is simply an introduction. Within EEP its fairly easy to create simple Lua code to perform simple tasks. However, I wanted to create complex layouts with EEP and wanted to create a Lua program that could control ANY layout, no matter how complex it was, with any number of trains. I've created a first working version of my control program and thought I would just share a quick introduction. I'm thinking of creating some additional videos dealing with both EEP and also Lua programming within EEP so please leave any comments, feedback or questions below. If you would find some tutorial videos useful please let me know. The Official EEP video is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOAAJYdfsEs EEP does have a very simple code window for Lua code but doesn't contain a proper code editor so I've used Notepad++ which can be downloaded from www.notepad-plus-plus.org/download EEP on Steam is http://store.steampowered.com/app/541270/ and EEP direct from the developer is available from https://eepshopping.de/?view=search_program&search_artikelnummer=eep13 NOTE: There is very little difference between EEP12 and EEP13. Also the version of EEP13 that I've got isn't a full English version so if you don't speak German you may want to consider EEP12 from Steam or wait until the full English version of EEP13 is released
