Today, I'm processing wood to make charcoal. Also, I have updated my efficient charcoal retort with a new heat source. Making charcoal is very easy. All you need is a heat source and a burn chamber (the retort). Almost any closed metal chamber can be used as a retort. The main idea is to close off oxygen from entering the chamber.

One main point, keep the oil delivery system vertical so it works correctly and does not leak.
