We were stuck waiting for transport on the island of Malaita in the Solomon Islands and a local couple invited us to pass the time at their house. Elan befriended their parrot, which the internet tells me is an indigenous "yellow-bibbed lory," and proceeded to demonstrate his bird-whispering abilities.
