Electronic Conspicuity

Electronic conspicuity as it affects general aviation pilots in Europe. Electronic conspicuity, or EC, refers to the use of electronic devices that broadcast and/or receive an aircraft's position, altitude, and other flight data. These devices help you be seen by ATC and other airspace users and see them in return. It’s used to avoid mid-air collisions and loss of separation and to enhance situational awareness. Transmitting electronic conspicuity can be mandatory or strongly recommended in different airspace and in different countries.
