Oxygen exists as O2 and O3 (ozone) in our atmosphere. It is the oxidizer for life, allowing us to burn organic materials within our bodies to supply us with energy. As its name implies, oxygen is a potent oxidizer, causing iron to rust and convert to Fe2O3, iron (iii) oxide. Oxygen is used to make "whoosh" bottles and elephant's toothpaste reactions. Enjoy!
