Whether in Aramaic, Hebrew-Aramaic, Hebrew, or Greek the translation remains the same, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?". Written by the psalmist David and Spoken by Christ on the cross, these words have echoed in many o' sermons, been analyzed, and have come out of the mouths of believers and unbelievers alike in times of seemingly hopeless abandonment. Yet the simple Gospel message remains the same, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." -John 3:16
