At 18 years old, Elliot described himself as a normal, active kid, going to school and accomplishing a black belt in Taekwondo. Then one day, he began to experience flu-like symptoms that progressively worsened over time. His GP wasn't concerned and sent Elliot home to rest with a flu diagnosis, but after noticing a continuing decline in his health, his parents rushed him to the hospital where doctors discovered Elliot had Sepsis.
