This physics practice problem tackles elliptical orbits.
This would be one of the harder problems that you might see in first year college or university physics.
We use the conservation of angular momentum and conservation of energy to solve for the orbital speeds.
In this case, the conservation of energy is made up by two terms: kinetic energy and gravitational potential energy.
