Inteded as a last resort (most likely the facility being lost to enemy hands or critical material falling into enemy hands) Requiring the 3 senior most officers to enter their command codes and then a final code from the senior most officer. A 10 minute countdown begins upon verification of command codes, with the nuclear core reaching it's point of no return at the 5 minute mark, at any point before this the EDS can be aborted.
