Emulsion:-
Emulsion comes from Latin word meaning "To milk".
📌An emulsion is a colloid of two or more immisicible liquids where one liquid contain a dispersion of the other liquid.
Process:-
A reaction vessel is taken into it water is taken and add surfactants.At some concentration micelles is formed.After formation of micelles monomers are added in the formation of small droplets depending upon the polymerization temperature.Monomers enter into the interior of micelles.An initiator is also added and then polymerization process is started.
Advantages:-
📌High mol.wgt polymer can be obtained.
📌 Polymer process is fast.
📌 Final product can directly used for fabrications.
📌High purity product is obtained.
📌The technique is used for the production of large number of commercial plastics and elastomers.
