This content describes how data is processed through the different layers of the peer TCP/IP Model. This is called the Encapsulation of data. Understanding the concept of Encapsulation is necessary in order to be able to analyze packets on a network, and see how they are processed before being passed through the connecting physical medium as bits/signals.
