These are my very first cutting boards, which means two things:
I learned a lot
I now have strong opinions about tiny strips of wood
This project was surprisingly a ton of fun, and I’ll definitely be making more of these mostly because the scrap I have after projects is always great wood and often times perfect size to make some strips out of. When I get enough, I'll make a new cutting board.
The wood lineup for this build included (I think): Wenge, Walnut, Zebrawood, Cherry, Ash, Hard Maple… and Padauk. I’m positive I’m forgetting at least one species, but that just adds a little mystery to the final product.
Which board is your favorite? Let me know in the comments and if you name the wood I forgot, you officially win
