The End Line Prusik, or End Of Line Prusik, is the first advanced knot that I learned. The family of Prusik knots are slip and grip hitches designed to be tied to another rope, or safety line. They provide you the ability to slide up or down your main safety line, but when subjected to sudden load, will grip against the safety line and arrest your fall.
