End of a Computer

This isn't really a main #ytpmv video, but I'm uploading this moreso for the life update rather than the video itself. Wanky description for a 30 second video incoming. On the 4th of February, my PC of 7 years died. It was a basic machine; built for reading emails and browsing the web really, but YTPMV is a hobby with a very low barrier to entry in terms of PC specs, so it's what I've used for the majority of my time here. I had been dreading this day for years, but thankfully the drives were able to be extracted and backed up. On that day, I thought what if, hypothetically, I never backed up anything. What if I had to reset to a previous checkpoint. The closest thing I have is my work laptop, mainly used for corporate video work. There was a brief period in 2020 - 2021 where I made some YTPMVs and samples on this laptop just out of curiosity about whether the Vegas workflow is smoother with better specs (eh, kinda...still crashes the same though 😁). It was meant to be a small test of what I could make if I had gone back to this point in time. With the limited source choices, tacky samps, free VSTS and lack of OFX plugins present on this machine. It was meant for a small handful of friends, but I've decided to upload it here just to give people some indication that I'm alive lol. I'm embarrassed to admit how long it took me to finish this. It was an interesting motivational challenge going from like 20 ongoing projects at once, to just one. For a 30 second vid with glorified box vis, my executive dysfunction really killed my drive to complete the most basic sample test, but it is what it is. blah blah blah enough of the chit chatt enjoy the fillher
