Put the coffee down, friend! Did you know you can create more energy both physically and mentally simply through your breath? 🫁 In this class, we will learn 2 techniques: the physiological sigh, a clearing breath technique that creates space, ease, and focus, and Kapalabhati breath. Also known as “Skull shining breath,” Kapalabhati is a cleansing and energizing breath practice involving the repetition of passive inhale followed by a short sharp exhal. It is said to boost energy and clear the sinuses. 🔥 🌬️ No equipment is needed other than an optional cushion or yoga block to sit on. Kapalabhati breath is not recommended for folks who are pregnant, have untreated high blood pressure, gastrointestinal issues, abdominal pain, or if you feel dizzy or anxious. ⚠️ DISCLAIMER The decision to perform any exercise is up to the individual, and the instructor (Kira McCarthy) cannot accept responsibility for problems during or outside a class.
