Aggregate producers can experience negative effects from conveyor dust. This dust is hazardous, and given the new MSHA silica dust rules, it is becoming more important to mitigate it. Most dust within a facility is created at the belt conveyor transfer point because material is in a state of free fall, and fines are exposed to airflow. This video will teach you how to design, repair, or maintain transfer points in a manner that seals air in the skirted area until it can be slowed to a velocity that can no longer carry dust. Examples and successes will be discussed. What you will learn: • Proper belt support & how it affects dust generation • Limitations of skirting systems & how to get the most out of them • Proper transfer point design to seal air and slow its velocity Check us out: https://hubs.la/H0WN9Y70 Foundations™ Learning Center: https://hubs.ly/H0WNrfz0 Follow us on social media: Facebook: https://hubs.la/H0WNbkd0 Twitter: https://hubs.la/H0WNblT0 Instagram: https://hubs.la/H0WNbrP0 LinkedIn: https://hubs.la/H0WNbF20 FREE Foundations™ 4 Book Download: https://hubs.la/H0WNsMq0 FREE Foundations™ For Conveyor Safety Book Download: https://hubs.la/H0WNsXp0
