Ep. 4 Setting up Pulsed Laser Diode Driver

Tutorial on setting up periodic laser diode driver using a phase-locked loop on an Intel FPGA Terasic Demo Board. Phase-locked loop basics, quartus project setup, systemverilog code, and FPGA programming in quartus are all covered. Additionally, gain-switching a laser diode is described for creation of very short laser pulses (100 ps or less) and a circuit is shown for doing so along with tips for success.
