Ephemeral (2024)

I remember making this in a completely different country (china) when I was of course, lonely and sad And weirdly again, the music came out amazing! Another cityscape vibe The picture used in video was taken in Thailand and I thought the colours were nice I definitely like the bass in the music idk how I came up with that but I did Personal final thoughts: I feel like when you’re in a heightened state of any mood you will be able to create music at that same heightened mood, for example if you’re extremely sad, the music you create becomes equal of value. Equal in value but depends on the artists preference of music But for some reason if I’m just feeling bored and neutral I wouldn’t be able to create the same exact feeling of an emotion I don’t currently have I’ve done it many times and failed because I guess I was too happy and decided to make music There’s also the patience factor and the ‘zone’ Normally most music I make is completed within one day without any breaks I’ve had many attempts where I just took a break and then failed to continue the musics vibe or consistency because I left the musical zone It’s like your brain musically acts in a different way depending on your mood, and you can’t try to force your brain to act in those moods Perhaps this is one external factor that I can’t control when making music Nowadays I just play piano when I’m sad because idk it’s more convenient, so I don’t make music much anymore now And I remember after this composition, my brain approached music as trying to impress others, than for my own enjoyment and I think it took a toll on my music production Maybe it was because I decided to make music for my friend but can’t blame him The only times you see me uploading is when I somehow get my brain to make music for my own enjoyment than to impress people As soon as my brain becomes aware that I have tried to impress others, while making music, boom the music brain stops working It’s annoying when you can’t control such small details that look like they shouldn’t matter, but they go ahead and define the entire musical path of the song That’s a lot of yap, maybe I should write a book
