A fourth-generation Apostolic, Sister Shanks attends Forsyth Apostolic Church, pastored by Jeremy Causey. She has been married for 41 years and is the proud mother of Brandon and her daughter-in-love Amanda, and “Gigi” to two granddaughters, Hannah and Emily.
Sister Shanks has taught Sunday School for over 46 years and has served in many other ministries including youth, bus, and Christian school ministries as well. During her cancer journey, she launched the “Hankie and a Prayer” ministry, through which she has ministered to many.
