In this video we look at the basic parameters that all equalizers have (Frequency, Bandwidth, and Gain). I also include some basic tips and tricks to help clean up your mixes. Remember that constrast is what creates depth in a mix. If every element in your mix has a lot of high-end, nothing will sound clear and present and everything will be fighting for space in the top-end of your mix. Pick one or two focal points and then attenuate the high end on all the other elements around those instruments. This will clean up your mix and add a sense of depth to it as well.
