Fitting filtration experiment data using
1. Built in functions INTERCEPT and SLOPE
2. Using the Excel solver (that works also with non-linear equations)
Data used: On February 25 in 2014 five students at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technol- ogy, Dhaka, performed two filtration experiments with limestone (CaCO3) slurry. I found their report at https://www.scribd.com/document/21041.... They measured volumes indirectly by weighing buckets empty and with filtrate. I couldn’t figure out their names, hence I can’t give them more credit than this.
