Equipotential Surfaces (in Hindi)
In this Physics video for Class 12 in Hindi we explained what electric equipotential surfaces are and how electric field intensity is related with equipotential surface. We also derived the relation between electric field intensity and electric potential. Electric field intensity is the force, due to a source charge, experienced by a unit positive charge. Electrostatic potential of a point is the work done by the external force in bringing a unit positive charge from infinity to that point. Electric field is normal to an equipotential surface. Electric field is in the direction in which electric potential decreases the fastest. The magnitude of the electric potential is equal to the rate of change of potential in the direction in which it decreases with the maximum rate.
