Waterloo Rocketry has successfully fired its flight liquid engine “Eridium” for the third time! This engine will be flown on the team's 2025 competition rocket “Aurora” at the Launch Canada Challenge in mid-August.
This engine is a Nitrous Oxide/Ethanol liquid bipropellant, which iterated on the design from last year's "Borealis" rocket. In general, we're immensely satisfied with the test, and are looking forward to combing through the data to find out its true performance.
Huge thank you to faculty, administration, sponsors and especially to all the members of the team working through thick and thin to make this test possible.
