What happens to the value of a function as the x values approach a specific number? If the value of the function also approaches a specific number, that number is called the "limit."
Two things to remember:
1) For a limit to exist at a given x-value, the value of the function must approach the same number from the left and the right of the x-value.
2) The function does NOT have to be defined at the x-value for the limit to exist.
In this video we are only estimating the limit. In future videos I will teach you how to determine the limit analytically, if it exists.
