Euclid's Elements Book 1 - Proposition 21

Consider two triangles, ABC and DBC. If the point D is within the triangle ABC, then the angle at point D is larger than the angle at point A. Also, the sum of the sides AB and AC will be larger than the sum of the sides DB and DC.
